The man who was a lifetime too late

When i was little
I was a boy

I see the whole world

I see war being fought, but no reason was given for the fighting

I see destruction, I see tears being shed

I thought to myself,

I will change the world

I will make it better.

When i was older
I was a teenager

I see my own country

I see corruption with my own eyes, but no guilt was shown

I see injustice, I see money used as bait

I thought to myself,

I will change my country

I will make it better.

And then I was older
I become a man

I have my own family, and I see their eyes

I see hatred for one another, i see fighting between siblings

I thought to myself,

I will change my family

I will make them better

...but i didn't realise

there's a person i didn't see

there's one person i didn't change

I forgot all about him.

...

Now I am older
And I am wiser,

but already and old man, frail and sick

On my deathbed I finally see, the one man I should change

It was me, I should start with myself,

the one man who didn't change

The one person who sees the wrong in others

But not in himself

But it was too late

A lifetime too late.

I was the man who was a lifetime too late.

The one with the feedback..

Hi all, sorry for the late update. Last wednesday i was at the breakfast club with the kickstart deejay from red104.9. It was fun, especially for the free stuff. ;P

believe it or not, that day i woke up at 4.30 in the morning, wtf?! I never wake up that early. But of coz, i go back to sleep. Who wouldn't.

I went to the radio station at 6.15, and the one thing that is great about driving early in the morning is less vehicles. I practically own the street.

When i arrive at the station only 3 deejays were there, Shereena, Terry and Dr. Love. They were friendly, of coz, anybody who sees myself in the morning surely doesn't want to make any trouble. ;)

Then it was time for my 15 minutes of fame, divided to 3 and a half hour of air time of coz. I didn't talk that much. Just the usual hi, yeah, of course, right, and a few jokes here and there. But one thing i can say about sitting in a deejay console is that "It was freaking cold!"

I asked Shereena about it and she said it is to keep the computers from going 'kaput'. And here i thought it was a test for my freaking bladder. I went to the bathroom 3 times i tell you. But everything else was fine.

I didn't meet all the deejay that day, apart from Shereena, Terry and Dr. Love, I only got to meet Sheela. I was hoping of meeting Chris, though. I think she's fine. F.I.N.E. Heheh. But of coz I got some free stuff, i got some cd's, a t-shirt and 2 keychains.

And I got to see a free movie, "Warriors of heaven and earth". The deejay invited me for the press screening. Whoohoo, I'm one of the press. The movie was fine, the good thing about that movie was (apart from vicky chao) was there were no fancy flying-atop-a-mountain-fireball-coming-outta-hand fighting scenes. Just a normal fighting between warriors. The only special effects that was over the top was (opps, spoiler alert), when the monk open up the last remains of one of the buddha. The last fighting scene remind me of the battle at Helm's Deep (LOTR), with the bad guys storming the castle and the good guys trying to defend themself. All i can say is that this movie is good, 'cept for a few loose ends here and there. Go watch it. I give it four out of fiv.. Oh fuck, who the hell cares what i wanted to give it. Just go and watch it. Now.

And after the movie ends, so it ends my 15 minutes of fame. I become a normal guy again.

Oh well, you can't have your cake and eat it too. Although you can prolong it by eating slowly, very, very slowly. Heheh.

So chioaw, tonight is my high school reunion. Time to do something with myself. If that is ever possible.

Again, chioaw. Go, read other people's blog, go fishing, have a picnic. Just go.

Leave me alone.
